The story

He trained as a therapist. He learned the rest selling.

Cory Clark went through Brigham Young University–Idaho and then straight into a master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy at Oklahoma State, finishing in 2020. While he studied he was doing both jobs at once: seeing clients in Stillwater — individuals, couples and families — and selling to pay his way through the degree.

That is the whole origin of this brand, and it is not a positioning exercise. He was sitting in therapy rooms listening to what pressure actually does to people, and then going out and carrying a number himself. The mental game of sales was the thing nobody in either room was treating, and he had a trained clinician’s answer to it.

He started The Sales Therapist in 2020 and has run it since — sessions, courses, the room, and the stage. These days he does it from San Clemente, with a family around him. Which is rather the point: the argument is that you can perform at the top of your ability without abandoning everything underneath it, and he is not asking anyone to take that on faith.
